Osmanabad district has a rich historical heritage, Osmanabad is also known as Dharashiv. There is a temple at Tuljabhavani Tuljapur, the Kulswamini mother of Maharashtra in Osmanabad district.

Naldurg Fort- 

         Naldurg Fort is located at a distance of about 40 km from Osmanabad and about 20 km from Tuljapur. The main tourist attraction of the fort is Pani Mahal. Pani Mahal attracts a large number of people in the rainy season. This fort is considered important in history.

Paranda Fort-
          Paranda Fort- The fort is named Paranda after Parminda. During the rule of Kalyani, Paranda was known as Parminda. The fort was built by Mahmud Gawan, the Prime Minister of Mahmud Shah Bahmani during the Bahamani dynasty. The fort fell to the Mughals around 1600. After that The fort was taken over by the Sahaji kings in 1628 and 2 years later in 1630 the fort passed to Adilshah of Bijapur.

Tulja Bhavani Temple-
          Tulja Bhavani is the mother of Kulswamini of Maharashtra. This is the goddess who blessed Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj with the Bhavani sword and established the Hindavi Swarajya. Tuljapur is at a distance of 25 km from Osmanabad.

Dharashiv Caves 

         This cave is located at a distance of 8 km from Osmanabad, this cave is a Jain cave. The caves were built around the 7th century. These caves were built by people named Nil and Mahanil. There is an idol of Lord Parasvanatha in this cave and there is a water tank at the entrance which always has water in it. This cave is also known as Osmanabad Caves.
